Overview

Get Bored is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data, store everything locally on your device, and never transmit your personal information to external servers.

Data We Collect

Session History

When you complete a boredom session, the app stores the date, duration, and completion status locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device.

Motion Data

Get Bored uses your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to detect phone movement during sessions (Zen Mode). This sensor data is processed in real-time to determine if the phone has been picked up. It is never stored, logged, or transmitted.

Preferences

Your app settings (reminder times, motion sensitivity, theme preferences) are stored locally on your device.

Data We Do Not Collect

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Usage analytics
• Advertising identifiers
• Any data transmitted to external servers

Third-Party Services

In-App Purchases

Subscription and purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or have access to your payment information. For details on how Apple handles purchase data, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

No Analytics or Advertising

Get Bored does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or advertising frameworks.

Data Storage and Security

All app data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). If you enable iCloud backup on your device, your app data may be included in your encrypted iCloud backup.

Data Deletion

To delete all Get Bored data, simply uninstall the app from your device. All locally stored session history, preferences, and settings will be permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

Get Bored does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no features that require personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
